I miss Mexican blueberries. At some point in the last month all I can find are American blueberries so I'm going without.

I've also started buying a lot more used tech/tools off marketplace/kijiji/etc when I need something. If I can't buy Canadian I can still support Canadians.

Canadian blueberries are out now!

I'm not Canadian, but I am curious what kijiji is?

A website you post stuff to sell. Like Facebook Marketplace but you don't need to sell your soul to use it.

Granted, the name was really fun to type on a keyboard

But the first 2 listings shown to me on the home page are $750 and $1250 puppies. This site looks like puppy mill paradise. Are you sure about the selling soul part? This looks gross.

No clue what it'll show to the casual browser. I usually only ever search specifically for stuff. I also use an Android app called Ad Alerts and set up searches in it.

Yeah, you can post pets there. I don't see any when I visit the site but they know me already. I only use it for tech and consoles. Not sure where else to buy/sell stuff locally that's not Facebook.

Thank you for the information.

It’s like Craigslist.

TIL they don't have kijiji in the US. I assumed it was everywhere since it's owned by google.

[–] uninvitedguest@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 weeks ago

It's owned by eBay.

Where are you? Ladner, BC blueberries are the best in the world.

[–] skankhunt42@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Ottawa. I just stopped looking when the american ones started to show up, I found Canadian ones yesterday! Not sure if they're from BC or not.

I was in Ottawa for Canada Day. I wish we had your traffic.

[–] skankhunt42@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 days ago

I've never been downtown Ottawa on Canada day. I'll go one of these years but I've read its not as good as it use to.

After moving outside city limits, any time I go back into the city I cant stand the traffic. Waze is a must, even if its a quick trip.
