i always said rolex is like the mercedes of watches and seikos are the toyotas. well respected, worth the money, have a range of options from budget to fully loaded stuff. grand seiko for a lexus equivalent
what would you label a cadillac/lincoln as?
I always picture Casio as Toyota and Seiko as Nissan or Honda.
Don’t forget
r/hondamods = r/seikomods
This is a great post idea. I’m already trying to think of what brand is like the slapped-together terrible Mercury Topaz I once had.
Swatch.
😂
Also, they are Japanese, just like toyotas.
What are the Subarus?
Orient?
That sounds about right.
Subarus are better quality cars than Orient are watches. More like Citizen. Orient is more like Nissan.
Hah! Thinking Subarus are better made cars is hilarious. Subarus are the invictas. Cheap fall apart and loved by the oblivious
Bro wtf are you talking about. Stick to knowing watches cause you don’t know shit about cars
Found the blown hg and cvt lover
You know it. I suckle at the boxer teet
The hg is a pre 2014 issue. But legit point.
My Bambino 2 is one of my favorite watches. I've also got a Nissan. It's been the second least favorite of all the vehicles I have had. I've been thinking about getting another Orient. Talk me out of it.
I’ve owned one Orient. About 12 years ago, as I was first starting to get into watches, the WUS forums were full of praise for Orient. I happened to find a nice little dress watch—I forget which model, it was maybe 37mm—for less than $70 online. I made the purchase and was very happy with it for about a year and a half. At that point, the rotor stopped winding the spring, turning my automatic watch into just a mechanical watch. I made due. I enjoyed the watch, had purchased a few straps for it, and wanted to keep wearing it. Then, one day, one of the hands just fell off. Servicing was going to cost more than the watch itself, so I opted not to try to revive it. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I won’t buy another Orient because of that experience.
I understand your comparison to a Nissan now.
My Neptune would disagree with you.
My Orient pilot watch would appreciate it if you didn't mention the new dents on its front bumper. /r/NissanDrivers
Hamilton field khaki or G Shock?
Toyota and Honda are g shock or Seiko.
Subaru has engine and QA issues historically.
Look up the recent issue with tires on ascents 🤢
