He's a guy who you think, if he could just put all the pieces together...and then trail off because you can't actually conceive what the hell his game would look like if he did.

So what is he now: inconsistent, unreliable from 3, okay in the mid range, nearly impossible to stop if he gets going downhill and strong around the hoop. Good rebounder. A bit above average defense with his abnormal even for the NBA length.

He has shown that he can hit the open man and set up teammates while still get his own points while playing solid defense, he's shown he can get hot from 3, he's shown he can be unstoppable offensively. All of his parts add up to an intriguing mix of talents and skills that don't quite mesh together.
While he's still only 22, he was drafted alongside Ja, Herro, Garland, and Zion. He's near the top of the Jazz so far as playoff experience and has a ring.
The point of that knowledge is to point out a disparity in the level of the development between these contemporaries. That is not to say that I don't hold out a lot of hope for THT, but I think it should be tempered more like that of another member of that draft class, Luka Samanic. Obviously a bit higher despite Luka having been a substantially higher pick as THT has that mishmash of abilities along with the 5th most playoff experience (of six total players with playoff experience) on the roster (Olynyk (48), Clarkson (43), Collins (29), Yurtseven (17), THT (6), and Dunn (5)) along with a championship.

The intriguing question is always if he becomes a bit consistent player and efficient scorer and finds the right role on defense, what is he then? I can't quite picture it; which tells me whatever he could became, if he ever does, will be quite unique. He may end up being the modern day Andrei Kirlenko, a man who arrived in the league a before it was ready to recognize everything he could really do.
