What’s the list and how do you qualify it?

LeBron and Wilt obviously, Shaq, MJ, dr J, Wilkins, Barkley etc

There’s plenty of amazing athletes who weren’t good at putting the ball in the hoop that could compete for that title.

Is it strength? Speed? Skill? Size?

Criteria - The athletes who could best use their physical abilities to win basketball games.

Here first names that come to mind for GOAT race:

Wilt Chamberlain

LeBron James

Michael Jordan

Shaquille O’Neil

Bill Russell

Zion Williamson

Vince Carter

Allen Iverson

Russell Westbrook

Julius Irving

I’ll make an example of Jericho Sims to show what I don’t want. He can touch the top of the back board but can’t get playing time. Why? Because he has no ability to apply that insane athleticism.

Some amount of skill is also indexed in this. If you are a hyper athletic guard, you need to be able to dribble the ball. It ranges from balance (lots of overlap) to hand-eye coordination (medium overlap) to a set jumper (no overlap).

A big brodie fan, but there is no chance he should be on that list.

Really? Who’d you put over him?
