The people I interact with-- friends, family, coworkers, classmates. I know that metric tends to avoid the people most likely to exhibit this behavior, though.

You're aware of what everyone does in private? That's lovely! That no one in your life is struggling with feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated ever.

I thought this was a nice conversation wtf

There's no need to be hostile. I never said it was bad to recharge by lying on the floor for 45 minutes. I said it wasn't normal. If that's what you want to do to deal with being overstimulated or overwhelmed, be my guest.

You’re aware of what everyone does in private? That’s lovely!

As I explicitly pointed out in my own comment, this is a limitation of my methodology. But I do have many people who I share my personal life with and would know their habits, yes.

I said it wasn't normal.

It may not be typical, but it is not abnormal. Especially if we focus on the 45 minutes of vegetating and not specifically the lying on the floor.

I was mostly talking about the lying on the floor. But your distinction between normal and typical seems like a good insight.
