I've been looking for a nice affordable field watch for a while, I started looking at a Casio (because Casio ♥️) and someone here mentioned the Timex Expedition series, and boi I'm happy with it.

I really like the hands and the Indiglo effect looks great. It's also pretty sturdy for a 40(ish) watch, specially comparing it to the Moonswatch. The strap is not awesome but easily replaceable.

I wore an Expedition for two years before moving into fully mechanical/automatic watches. That itself was two years ago.

The Timex sits on the dresser and is still ticking to this day, with the absolute correct time (though when we change the clocks it’ll be an hour ahead, and the date is wrong for obvious reasons). For the price, they really can’t be beat. And I love the indiglo.
