I don't necessary agree with the article, I just thought it was interesting enough to post, even if easily refuted.
The dog being in the headline makes me think this article purpose is for people to say "fuck you environmentalist"

No idea on your point.
I posted the article because I thought some might find it interesting, I don't agree with the contents in the article myself. I agree with your take. But I think it's important to at least read what ideas are being put forward and to drive duscussion.
