Sounds like you should work on your equipment.

A decent LED screen is 1-1.5k for 70-85". After that OLED would be better than projector.

Sound wise... Something is wack or you're talking about piss poor quality streams or TV. Blu-ray, UHD BD, and good rips don't have this problem with even half decent sound bars, let alone 5.1 surround systems.

An LED screen almost never goes to 150”. But a projector can. Plus projectors are way more immersive than LEDs, especially in a dark room.

And you are right that Blu-Rays have better sound than Netflix. And I prefer them over streaming services. But a 4K UHD Blu-Ray costs $40 for a new release—and the sound still doesn’t compare to a legit theatre.

Theatre tickets costs $18 here. Not bad for something with better picture and sound.

Projectors are nice for extra large... I've never observed a good quality one irl outside of the theatre.

State side UHDs are often much less... Especially on sale. I've never spent $40 and have about 100 movies so far. New, old, criterion... Most I've spent was 25-30 on No Country day 1. Usually spend 10-15/disc.

My theatres blast volumes so high I get tinnitus for hours after, plus they are dimming the projectors and the focus is shit.

The first 30 minutes are fatasses grazing and slurping all around me, then the next 30 minutes is them all going to the bathroom after downing a half gallon of diabetes juice.

And then of course, on screen ads. Totally enshittified experience.
