Home automation is the residential extension of building automation.

It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Hello,

I have been searching and googling for days, reading different reddit posts but without any luck.

I am looking for a Doorbell Camera but it has to have the following:

  • Homekit compatible, I would just prefer that the camera is Honekit compatible.
  • Wireless since my home doesn’t have a wired ring bell.
  • No monthly subscription, I want local storage on a sd card or usb (if thats possible).

I have a homehub mini.

There is Mubview 2k doorbell camera, but I cant find information on if its Homekit compatible and they haven’t answered my email to them yet. My Roku can connect to Homekit, but it seems their doorbell camera cant.

Thank you for reading and taking your time out to help me.

What you seek doesn't exist.

There are some options that come close but require tinkering and adaptation to work in HomeKit.

  • Unifi Doorbell works if you use Scypted to connect to HomeKit.
  • Aquara Cameras work but need a hub.
  • Eufy has a couple, but they have other issues and not all are HomeKit compatible.
  • Arlo may have an option, but hub, and weirdness to get in to HomeKit.

I know I missed some and may have some of the information here a bit wrong. But what you seek doesn't exist which is why you can't find it.
