An easy hike with mild elevation gain takes you along the Little Stony Man cliff wall before heading up to the summit of Stony Man. Both provide great views at the northern tip of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Briefly shares the trail with the Appalachian Trail which runs through Shenandoah National Park.

Early fall colors along the trail leading to the summit of Stony Man.

The view from the summit of Stony Man to the rolling mountains to the north.

Great shot! That one was on my list of to-do's while there, but unfortunately the majority of the time I was there everything was fully socked in a cloud and you couldn't see more than five feet away. Came back through after going up to Harpers Ferry to do the Old Rag trail, but then I again got socked in by the clouds.

Thank you! Shame about the clouds, definitely recommend it if you make it out again. Harper’s Ferry is similarly beautiful!
