We had this, it was called the NAFTA.
Trump canceled it.
Actually Trump renegotiated it, called it USMCA, said it was the best trade deal in history, signed it on camera in a huge White House press event, lost the Presidency, won the Presidency, and then called it the worst deal ever and that it was signed by a stupid “past President”. Then tariffs in violation of it.
Even for Trump, that story arc is pretty wild.
I mean, Canada can say anything to him and he'll forget it in a few hours. There is no point coming up with a plan under Trump because he's a fucking idiot old evil cunt.
Just say to Trump, "Good talk I think we're close", and leave. Then continue business as usual and secure other deals with other countries.
The United States is not a friend of Canada and it can not be trusted.
