My rm2 is in the post but have been thinking about spending > £100 on the pen.

Are there any alternatives.

I see on Amazon that Lamy do a nice E-pen

My use will principally be for medical note taking.

There are many, but my favorite and the one I'm using now is the Galaxy Tab S7 pen. It has a very nice pressure sensitivity and a side button. The official one costs around 50$ but I bought a knockoff that works just as well, it only lacks Bluetooth (that has no use on the Remarkable anyhow). It only cost me 19€.
