Sorry this may have been covered in different comments but I can't find a single source and am terrible at reading GitHubs layout.

I'm buying a new Rm2 and wanted to know if the new firmware is easy enough to hack/mod? I see mention of separate hardware being needed if I brick it and was wondering what the story is.

Also what are the most common features that people hack for?

I hope to use it to read for leisure and take notes in meetings that I can get to other devices (windows & Mac). Do I need to hack for any extra functionality? I don't have any issue using epub/pdf

I mean how I can hack the rm2, where the topics are taking about the same to understand what's going on?

If you Google remarkable hack you get the GitHub with instructions. You'll need to downgrade to a compatible version. What I'm not sure about is why to hack. I need to do it to make extra features work on the Lamy stylus I bought instead of the remarkable official one. It offered more cloud options without a subscription. I also believe and hope, that DRM and cloud stuff will be better.
