[PRX] Why are some watches frowned uppon as ripoffs while others get hyped? (alien.top)

Since I got a PRX and put it to my watch case next to an older (mid 80s I think)seiko 5 and every time I see it, it looks like Tissot just ripped off Seiko’s design with the only difference the crown. ~~Tissot claims that it’s inspired by the sea star seven but I would call bullshit on that~~. (got confused there)

The watch world is a crazy place. After all, the MoonSwatch was based directly upon the observation that there's a sucker born every minute, and it still received all sorts of hype.
