Before I try to figure out how to pay for BuzzKill while using LineageOS + microG, can anybody using this app (which people rave about) tell me if it's capable of drawing a notification dot (preferably with different colors for different types of notifications) on the screen when the screen is already powered on??

I do not have an AMOLED display, and I am looking for a notification LED replacement that (ironically, I guess) only shows when the screen is already on, either actively using the phone or the lock screen.

My actual problem is that I have ADHD and my brain has done the thing where notifications have become Part Of The Environment and I no longer see them or remember to check them.

All the notification LED replacement apps I've found so far are for AMOLED / always-on display, neither of which I have. Plus most of them are trashy and filled with ads.

To note, I'm not on lineage, but I set Tasker up to display little dots depending on the notification. Orange for a notification, blue for a reminder, and red/yellow/green for 15% battery, 30% battery, and 100% battery, respectively. I have the dots also combine when several of these notification types are present at once.

You can see them in this screenshot. I currently have reminders and notifications. They look like big blobs on the screen, but I actually have a hole punch camera, so it actually creates a ring around that in reality.

Very cool to know Tasker can draw dots and such.

I think the long term solution may be for me to update my phone so I can use Tasker again (long story with microG being partially broken) and/or just buy sideloadable Tasker, and do this myself.

Short term since I am broke enough that paying for BuzzKill is difficult, I am trying an app from the Play Store called Notification Dots. I don't like it but it'll probably work for my needs for a while.
