Does the fact that one party wast to let the populace shape the narrative, vs the iron fist of fascism?

Please tell me you can acknowledge this fundamental fact, it will help me gauge the rest of your responses

Both parties fully engage in Manufactured Consent if that's what you're trying to say though not entirely clear. Also, Republicans are embracing not opposing Fascism in line with their drift to the far right over the years.
