Welsh reads to me like: ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.
I genuinely can't tell of this is real Welsh or just gibberish with a random '
it's from HP Lovecraft's Cthulu mythos, off the top of my head it reads something like, "Deep in the underwater city of Ryleh, Cthulu lies asleep, dreaming"
OK, but do you mean the actual text is from a story where this text is the gibberish that summons Cthulu? Or that it's a translated piece of text from that story that is now in Welsh?
it's a fake mysterious language Lovecraft made up. nothing to do with Welsh
Google reckons this would be: "Yn ddwfn yn ninas danddwr R'lyeh, mae Cthulhu yn gorwedd yn cysgu, yn breuddwydio"
I'a ! I'a !
Well. Now you've done it.
I heard once that Shadow Over Innsmouth was lovecraft coming to terms with learning he was part Welsh, so perhaps there is more to it.
Welsh?! You mean poor stock?! Heaven fucking forfend!
Look buddy, we only allow white, New Englanders, from proper "stock" in this club. (That does not go for everyone in Rhode Island.) Perhaps you come from poor breeding? 🤮
Anyway, I have a black cat named...
Remembering that w and y are always vowels in Welsh makes it easier
