I'm starting to realize that to get rich, one needs to hang out with rich people but I'm not sure where to meet them. The only places I can think of are Silicon Valley and New York (no I don't know where in New York they are).

Why have rich friends?

  • If they didn't make the money themselves, they at least know people who did can learn from them
  • They're the ideal customer because they can pay more for the same product

That’s not really the way it works, wealthy people got past the point of having people in their social circle who are liabilities, cost them and/or serve no benefit at all. If you want rich friends be a useful and interesting person. Be able to stand on your own two feet. What do you bring to the table? If you bring nothing, you’re asking to basically be a leech. And if you’re looking to obtain wealth advice from a new friend, why? Why would they give it to you? So they find out the hard way how to make wealth so they can just hand you the blueprint for a nice easy road to wealth. What sacrifices have you made? What books have you read? I’m very wealthy and tbh this attitude infuriates me.
