Home automation is the residential extension of building automation.

It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Looked through Amazon reviews and prior posts on this subreddit and can’t seem to find a reliable smart lock option.

Was looking at the Yale Assure 2 Touch but appears to drain batteries at a rapid clip, several folks on reddit have recommended ultraloq or liberty but those were shredded on Amazon reviews.

Anyone have a trusted, reliable option that doesn’t require additional drilling and doesn’t drain batteries?

Thanks for your time!

I have the Yale assure 2 WiFi and love it! I have only had it installed since June and haven’t had to change the batteries yet. I was initially thinking Z-wave because the rest of my smart lights on Z-wave 800 which has amazing distance but with the WiFi version and the Yale APP it is super easy to use and my wifi loves it because she can make a temporary code via the app for the dog walker that automatically becomes active for a specific time each week.

I am a little salty they released the assure 2 plus which allows you to use your iPhone directly or a finger print to open it shortly after I purchase mine.
