Hi!
Hoping for some help here, or to be pointed in the right direction.
I have an employment opportunity with a small Canadian startup, I would be his first hire so we are confused about the process. I am based in the U.S. (Illinois) if that helps, and don't plan to move to Canada. What would be the best way to go about this? for both parties.
I've seen being hired as an independent contractor as a path, thoughts on that? Or is there a better way? Thanks!

The contact could be with you or with your company (S-corp), meaning they could hire you as a contractor or hire your company. Consider both sides about tax and liability.
