Wow, it's exactly that. Interesting because the purpose of this is also unknown. Might be a little joke from the prop designers

I feel like it could be an existing prop that kinda fits with the polyhedron designs of the Jedi and Sith holocrons, plus I think some of the recent TTRPG systems for Star Wars feature a lot of d12s
