Oh my goodness, the hardware on the Scribe is so much better than the RM2. The size of the writing area is almost identical (mm in either direction) but the Scribe is notably faster to respond and redraw, crisper and its ambient lighting is perfect.

But the Scribe is let down by its style and software. I thought the Mac app for RM2 was bare bones but the Kindle app is terrible. I don’t think I can even export a single notebook page.

The Kindle is going to be returned. Still on the fence for the RM2 but comparing the two really makes me hope there’s RM3 hardware in the works…

I have them both and I use the scribe as my eReader and the RM2 as my notetaking device. It really does suck that I can't have a single, convergent device.
