Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

I did. I have an s22 flip. Not fully "dumb", it runs android mobile. But so lacking on resources it is basically a dumb phone, with Spotify and maps. Fits my use case fine and much less distractions and constant gamifiyijng. I Miss NFC payments the most and my banking app won't even run on it, but it does the job of being a communications device just fine.
I've though about one of these but the videos I've seen make it look very annoying to use.
They are, and that's the idea. Rejecting convenience allows you to think and be more independent.
I am Einstein and the most independent person alive right about now then. I'll flat out go to 5 failed invidious links that take forever to not load just so I don't have to use YouTube. What an absolutely disgusting platform! I can't believe people still use it. I'd rather just make my own goddamn videos and entertain myself for all the bullshit they do.
