No idea, I heard about the revamp and didn't pay much attention, but it looks like noone else did either lol

I know a few years ago when it was announced they ended up just firing the people who were going to be working on it.

So... They just gave up without ever really trying.

They didn't give up. EA wouldn't greenlight the resources they requested to overhaul the game. As much as I wanted this game to succeed, I don't blame EA either. Bioware squandered their resources for years before making the decision to develop it into what it is today.
