It’s like a security blanket to protect yourself from any criticism.
I'm not sure what the criticism is. I actually don't really care much about the shoes or skating just thought it was funny. Also I hid an easter egg in the meme.

Labor makes the shoes, capitalism just makes sure the vast majority of the money earned by selling those shoes goes to motherfuckers who don't do any labor
