This is amazing but the protests need to be sustained until things change. Nothing will change if you set a date for when the protests end.

Protests in Minnesota have been going on constantly every day in multiple places, the media is just hardly reporting on it. They are not small either. People have also formed entire network to monitor ICE and make sure that people can respond fast anywhere they go

this right here. every news source is refering to that crowd as "thousands". most protests dont even get a mention in local papers.

Star Tribune has been covering these protests more than national news.

But yeah, early reports say 50,000 people, but the videos look much more like 100,000, and just in the main area.

Plus Minnesotans are actually organizing and they have rapid response teams to pick people up in the woods as ice beats them, tortures them, and then leaves them to die in -30C, often naked in the woods. Media doesn't cover that either.

Plus, there are aid teams organizing food, diaper, and supply runs and distribution to at-risk population. A lot of people are working hard to keep people fed and alive while it is -30C outside

Plus they have ICE locating teams that follow ice as pass news on to different neighborhood when ICE is going there and pass out instructions.

Plus, smaller scale, but Minnesotans are starting to come out and have armed guards for neighborhoods against fascist occupation.

This is compared to in Texas and a lot of the South (famously "you can't push us around, we all are armed") where there was the most ICE activity for all of 2025, and they just bent over and took it while licking the boot on the other end.

The problem here, as in local to Minnesota, is it’s too local. It’s easy for authorities to gather enough resources for 1 city.

But Minnesotans are likely the only population that’s been brought to the breaking point just yet. (Trump spite for Walz, probably.)

im sure most of whats happening here isnt getting past the geofencing and content mods in regular social media. but they have not had enough resources to control even individual neighborhoods. even after bringing in more agents than the entire combined police force of the most populated metro area in the state. every increase in violance by ice drives more volunteers into community patrols. the administration cant subdue one medium sized midwestern city. they're weak and its showing.

Trump has some obsession with Minnesota.

Minnesota is one of the only states with large social protections, and is one of the most progressive States in terms of actual impactful policies. The MN Dem party also isn't the US Dems. They are a seperate Democratic-Farmer-Labor which is significantly farther left than the center-right-wing dems.

Walz even tried to ban corporations from owning single family homes outright a few years ago (republicans blocked it then wonder why home prices soar)

That is why trump hates MN, and the fact that Walz ran against him.

The mainstream media isn't doing justice about the protest here in Minneapolis. There have been protests at the Whipple building pretty much 24/7 since Renee Good was murdered. There were protest in North Minneapolis which resulted in ICE using an excessive amount of crowd dispersing gear and then getting their weapons and documentation stolen the same night. If the twin cities is this upset and they have very few undocumented people compared to other cities. I'm really hopeful that ICE will have even more trouble in other cities.

It's always weird seeing people who don't know what's going on demanding something that's already going on.
