It's a bold move cotton, let's see if someone loses another ear.

In the words of based Kyle Gass, “Next time, don’t miss.”

It was a great sorrow that Jack black of all people would oppose that line. Some times a rebel lives long enough to become the system.

Jack black killed the metal.

[–] X@piefed.world 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Instantly angered me that Jack did that, lost all respect for him.

You mean publicly showing a 'friend' he was actually an employee that was hurting the brand?

[–] BartyDeCanter@lemmy.sdf.org 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Huh, what? I’m out of the loop. What did Jack Black do?

[–] Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago (1 children)

He split Tenacious D citing that remark as a capstone for he and Gass growing apart.

[–] hesh@quokk.au 6 points 1 month ago

He didnt split Tenacious D. He canceled the rest of the tour they were on.

He was awesome before that, he's an occasionally entertaining clown I don't make any special effort to watch now.

Worked for them against the Black Panthers in CA back in the 1960s with Governor Reagan. The NRA backed it.

That's where the CA gun control stuff really started.

Seriously, it shocked me how many people don’t know that saga.

And why I consider most forms of gun control just racism dressed up for social benefit. Not saying all, but there are states that make it so hard to purchase a gun that's steeped in racism of the past. Before any neo-lib comes in trying to pearl clutch, my rebuttal is "Fuck off."

But for real this time, not a ketchup packet and magically regenerating geriatric cartilage.
