I can't tell of they're just trolling or actually mentally ill. Also what is worse about the newer versions compared to 4? I've barely used it since it came out
They are mentally ill. It's fucking sad and a horrible situation, just look at how their delusions go overboard the actual problem (which they don't realise).
There's no current help for this newly created illness.
The fact it's so overboard is why I thought maybe at least some of them may be trolling, but sadly I think you're right and a lot if not all of them genuinely feel that way.
I'm not sure if it counts as a new illness or not, but I can't imagine a disinformation machine that agrees with everything you say does any good for anyone with an existing condition

Most complaints are that chatgpt 5 is 10% less sycophantic, and will push back sometimes. Horrible, if you are using it as an interactive Waifu or need something to speed up your psychotic break.
More focus on computation than interaction and language, if I understand it right. So more clippy than chat bot.
