I own a dance studio in a more rural area- my studio is doing well, it is basically about the same revenue as last year because of inflation. I run an after school dance program Monday-Friday 3:30-8 ish. And occasionally have events or rehearsals on the weekend.

So my building sits empty for many hours during the week- anyone have any original ideas for how to make more revenue during the daytime hours, especially ones that I could pay an employee to operate? I feel I am at capacity as the director between admin work, teaching, choreography and maintenance. Even making $20/hr off the space would be awesome.

-Book club events

-Kinda like a morming WeWork space use imagination

-personal trainer space including moving zumba class

-Support groups

-Different classes around Art,music,social

Mind you all of these can be run by the host of these event that are putting them on you are providing the space maybe some coffee and chairs and you can have someone on site to welcome ppl take calls and schedule and clean up after. People are always looking for space or something to do.

I use to glowstick long ago and we use to rent dance studios for our weekly/monthly events for 6 hours. The studio provided us with a folding table for the dj and some chairs. It wasn't a rave the music wasn't on max we talked to one another and things. So if you have the space there all sorts of ppl out there that can use it.

You can market this even more in winter when ppl cant go to the park and meet up.

Best of luck !
