Favorite rookie so far this year and to think many people felt that Amen was so far ahead of him in development when they got drafted. Amen will be good too, just behind a bunch of guys but Ausar is literally a 2K player in both natural ability and stats lol

Neither twin was ever far ahead of the other - the roles they’ve been developing towards just diverged about 2 years ago.

Amen has been developing as an offensive primary ball handler in the halfcourt, which has a really high learning curve and failure rate because it demands shooting + handle skill development.

Ausar has been developing as an off-ball menace. There have been a few guys to be among the best in the league as defensive playmakers year 1 recently. Thybulle and Eason for example. It’s a lower learning curve, particularly on defense.

Their actual underlying skillsets, tools, and just the way they move are super similar though, I think either could play like the other without too much adjustment period — I mean, they’re identical twins.

Yup, Amen is being tried as the primary ball handler so he's not going to look good so soon. He's gotta get that ankle right though or it's going to be worrying health-wise.
