Hi All - This may end up being a long post so if you can get all the way through it, thank you!
I started a recruitment agency a little over a year ago. In the very beginning, I only offered direct hire services. Just recently, I decided to add temporary staffing, thinking that would get more interest from potential clients. So far, my business development efforts have not proven to be successful. I'm looking for ideas to hopefully generate some business.
I am on LinkedIn and have a sales navigator account so I'm able to find leads and filter down to specific companies, yearly revenue, total headcount, job titles, etc. I have been reaching out to many different people in different companies/industries via LinkedIn but never get any responses in return.
I have ordered personalized business "goodies" like pens, stationery, bags, and coffee mugs with my business name, website, and logo (about $850 total) and plan to get those out to companies that I would like to work with - as another form of advertisement. Today I will be ordering some business cards to include with the goodies as well as packaging and then work on getting things sent off to businesses. I'd like some insight in this area as well so I'm not essentially throwing away $850 in goods on companies that will keep the items and then I'll never hear from them.
I have a website that is up and running, and I have a LinkedIn business page, although I don't post on it a lot because I have a full-time job and am worried that someone in my company will see the post and link it back to me. Can anyone tell me if this is even possible or if I'm being overly cautious? I feel like I should be very active on LinkedIn, but it just makes me nervous about being "found out" by my current employer.
I'm currently working on getting my business on Google and Yelp.
My website is www.toptalentstaffingservices.com if anyone wants to check it out and offer some feedback as to how I can improve it and potentially gain more interest.
I'm just at a loss now as to what I can do to get my business off the ground. As I stated earlier, I have a full-time job so I really only need 1 client to sign a contract with me for maybe 4-5 positions, but I just can't seem to even get any response from anyone and it's becoming increasingly frustrating. The only thing I have been able to come up with so far is hiring someone to cold-call and get some appointments set up for me to try and close the sale but being able to pay someone for that type of service would be challenging.
Hey man, your website doesn't work - is it correct? Also seems like you need a lead generation plan or a strategy in place. Even with LinkedIn sales nav it's easy to get confused.
You should be able to view my website now. I'm not super tech savy so I think what happened is that I renewed the domain but not the website services. Anyway, it should be good now.
