We are digital librarians. Among us are represented the various reasons to keep data -- legal requirements, competitive requirements, uncertainty of permanence of cloud services, distaste for transmitting your data externally (e.g. government or corporate espionage), cultural and familial archivists, internet collapse preppers, and people who do it themselves so they're sure it's done right. Everyone has their reasons for curating the data they have decided to keep (either forever or For A Damn Long Time (tm) ). Hello, new to sub hope this is right place to post this. I have a Corsair 4000D and am running out of space for HDDs. I have USB ones I haven't shucked because no place for it in case. I run a plex server on unraid with the PC and am thinking about getting case with more HDD slots. I really like the fractal design 7 XL, but out of my budget at the moment. So I was wondering what case would give me the most HDD slots for under $150?

Tldr: What case gives me most HDD slots under $150? I would be happy with 8 slots but more is better.

The problem you will run into after reaching a specific amount of HDD slots are for one the slots to connect those on the motherboard, which can be upgraded by a raid controller. Next issue are your lanes you using on the board... NAS not an option?
