This looks nice, but i have one burning question: why is a single player game like this excluded from family sharing?

Which goes completely against the reasoning of why Family Sharing was introduced at all. Tbh, you can't even blame someone who pirates this game after buying the first copy for his whole family, and by extension - fuck buying the first copy at all. This is as consumer hostile as they can get by clicking a single checkbox. There are enough safeguards to prevent abuse of Family Sharing.
