Drive through chains that are actually healthy and not loaded with salt and sugar. Like smoothies that are real vegetables, not 1000g of sugar dumped in. I think this has been attempted before though and unfortunately we just like the way crap tastes better.
Fat and sugars are good for life and survival.... until it is so widely available. Evolution did us no favors there.
The other big issue is the cost and logistics around keeping natural food fresh from farm to drive thru and doing this on a daily basis week in and week out. Sweetgreen is secretly dealing with this issue in their stores and are trying to find other avenues in their business to generate revenue.
We have Leon in the UK which is a healthy drive through chain, it’s great! They don’t have many drive throughs I must admit
I had a green smoothie from a local drive through today. It was just kale, celery, pineapple and almond milk iirc. It was great, even my toddler loved it. I'd love to see more places like this pop up!
