I've noticed that whenever I post an idea for a startup or even a concept for anew script I'm writing I'm often downvoted or discouraged from the idea. I'll have a small group of supporters while everybody else is either against me or I'm constantly ignored. It's lonely and I often lose motivation on my projects because of this... I know that I'm still a beginner at this but it really kills my spirit especially when people close to you don't think too highly of your ideas.... .

Yes, that is intentional. Most people might not like your dream. It certainly takes some work to find new people that love the work your doing or improve your pitch, a challenge all entrepreneurs face.
