Hello all, I’m here to ask the question that has probably been asked 100’s of times, but what truly made you take the leap? For many years I’ve had a strong imagination that has led me down the spiral of countless “ideas” that could bring a strong business. I have the issue of hyper-fixating on some of the business ideas and then spiraling hours into what it takes to get it done. I have several ideas that have sat at the top of my list that I know could be real money makers in the long term, but also go into a depressive state when I realize how much it will cost to get it started. I have met several people in my lifetime and probably have met a few investors that would back me, but I also know that 90% of businesses end up flopping. I have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, but also have racked up and absurd amount of student loans (biggest lie I’ve been told growing up was definitely that I had to go to college to get a good paying job). I’m newly married and the “bread winner” in the marriage, but have always told myself that’s who I would be. I’m not needing reassurance that I can do it on my own, because I know that failure grows character even if I don’t succeed. I’m just curious at what point most people in this group decided “screw it” and succeeded vs the ones that got to a certain emergency nest egg to dive in and make it happen.

Not a dumb question. Just to explore this topic, I met with a very interesting founder who is originally from Nepal and went to Finland and from there to the US in pursuit of his entrepreneurial dream. Give it a listen @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7m0TYvaQC2U&t=1937s&ab_channel=EverydayLeadership
