Imagine thinking some irrelevant 3rd party will save us lol.

I don't. It needs to be local elections, mayor's, sheriff's, etc. It would need to be grassroots, human contact. Ideally it could happen in multiple places at the same time with some coordination. I would love to try this but I have work in the morning and I usually have plans on the weekend.

Unless... maybe you could pay me like $10 a month, and then a bunch of other people who share our goal could also pay $10 a month and I can make it my full time job to get more [insert political ideology here] into office and gain momentum across the country. Or did you want to do that and I'll send you $10 a month. I'll expect results tho.

If you'd elected them you'd just be a mediocre right wing country like many. Not like the hell on earth you're in now.

I voted for kamala lol. If they wouldn't let bernie run we would've avoided trump all together. They ousted David Hogg when he was trying to make actual progressive changes. They are not your friend, they just don't say the quiet parts out loud.

Put your faith in them and you will only be disappointed.

Wishful thinking, the internet is not everyone. I'd love it if he'd ran, but there's no way to know if he'd have performed better, and people turned out for his opponent in the primaries.

Yeah hindsight is always 20/20 and maybe trump still would've won but I do think there was a strong chance he could've won with all the grassroots canvassing and a track record of standing up for civil liberties.

Both parties serve the same master, it's just a different version of "good cop, bad cop".

I mean I would much, much rather be locked in a room with someone playing the good cop role.

[–] AdolfSchmitler@lemmy.world 3 points 8 hours ago

Me too lol. But I know the bad cop is just outside the door and he's gonna come back in eventually.

Bingo. Bernie lost the popular vote in both primaries. Not sure why it's so hard for people to accept this.

I like Bernie. I'd vote for him for president. But my wishes aren't reality. He wasn't popular on a scale necessary to win.
