Bambu has offices in the US, and sells products there, and orca is also distributed there, so Bambu is trying to take advantage of the laws they think will benefit them.

However, DMCA wouldn't apply according to the video. Mr. French says Bambu effectively left the back door unlocked.

Yeah I run Orca for my A1 because Bambu Studio is awful about connecting to it in LAN mode. Orca can connect and my home-assistant can connect but they can't figure out how to get their own damn software to. Most likely to force you to use cloud.
