A place to discuss and support all Steam Hardware, including Steam Deck, Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and SteamOS in general.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:

If your post is only relevant to one hardware device (Deck/Machine/Frame/etc) please specify which one as part of the title or by using a device flair.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:

- Posts must be related to Steam Hardware or Steam OS in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.
- This is a place of civil discussion, no trolling.

Other notes:
I played some Elden Ring. I love that I can map the "target" function to one of the grip buttons instead of pressing in on the joystick (same as I do on deck). I map crouch, jump, and roll to the others so I don't have to take my thumb off the right stick most of the time.
I was worried about the seams on the edges but they're plenty smooth for me. The screw holes are a little rough but not a problem so far. However I don't love the overall texture (gets a little slick with sweat) and will likely add a rubberized grip/case just like I did on the Deck.
It smells like a new Deck lol
Why do Valve products have that smell?
