Lol, ok so I had to figure this out. In brief, no, Markiplier hasn't abused any pets afaik.
Recently though, Taylor Nicole Dean showed her pet snake Tofu apparently 'holding a grudge' against Markiplier. She has apparently been credibly accused of mistreating her pets resulting in some of their deaths. I didn't bother finding out the details.
But the latter story is probably where the wires got crossed, the more you know or something I guess 🤷🏼
