Nacho Libre

Never saw it when it came out. It's a fave of my sister's girlfriend (Hispanic) and she wanted us to watch it with her. It was fine, about what I expected out of that genre out of 2006. Probably less raunchy than it would have been with anyone else running it instead of Jack Black.

The best outcome was that led to us discovering it was loosely based on a real-life luchador / priest, Fray Tormeta (wikipedia link).

I think Nacho is a great movie. I kind of equate to Napoleon Dynamite because it has a, imo, similar indie/awkward vibe to it, with some similar shot framing too.

I guess kind of paired to Be Kind Rewind era. Though I wish it was better that it really is.
