I watched the Mortal Kombat movie I wanted them to make 30 years ago and it was magnificent. I only casually played at arcades as a kid but I still recognised a few moves and combos, really enjoyed how efficient it was (they know you're there for fun fights, not a bunch of character development) and just had a great half cut time.
