Obviously $5M is a lot of money, but for a lot of middle class people like myself this is attainable in a lifetime after saving for a while. Curious what each person’s choice would be for a “grail watch” that isn’t ridiculously expensive.

I have a penchant for Soviet watches so my choice would be the Raketa Avant-Garde 2079. It's €1650 https://raketa.com/w/en/product/raketa-avant-garde-0279/

They also make the Copernicus watch but you can find restored soviet watches for much less https://raketa.com/w/en/product/raketa-copernicus-0280/
