Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

When it comes to stopping fascists, fascism, or any other bad actor for that matter, I am very pragmatic.

I've arranged Crystal Night Memorials with the local church and temple.

In fact I think meeting people locally with whom you have nothing in common but a cause is how we foster solidarity and make the world better.

Our local prides as well as clashes with various arseholes is what brought anti racism and rainbows into our union halls.

In turn that has might a huge part of the queer movement critical or downright hostile towards pink washing.

On women's day I thought ended in the radical rally because it was the anti racist one. Only to find out there was bigger anti imperialistic one later that day arranged by young people. I had a blast. ๐Ÿ˜€

It is through our struggles we learn solidarity and organisation. And there is no denying it forms us as well.

But I would rather stand shoulder to shoulder with some religious mad man, than doing nothing while people get deported.

And maybe on day I can get that cracker to understand that folks with the pride flags can be his allies too. I wouldn't have had that option in the first place if hadn't organized to remember the Crystal Night
