Never mind China, people don't want data centers because they take so much increasingly precious water, make electric bills higher, are noisy, pollute the water, and raise the ambient temperature.

All this for facilities that are designed to take away human jobs. They are lose/lose deals for the working class.

I will say that for free but if China will pay me that's great too.

That's what I never understood, if google wants to put in a data center full knowing it will make rates rise, then the people around said data center should get a huge discount from them.

So what desirable outcome is there for them to build these massive atrocities to take human jobs for what? Humans who can't afford them because they have no jobs? It doesn't make sense.
