I have had an idea for a while, but now I want to actually create it. It is a tangible product, and it wouldn't cost much to produce. Can someone explain to me the best way of starting this up? I know I'd have to pick a material and dimensions but who do I go to in order to actually produce this? What do I need to do in order to create this.

I went around to machine shops. Took owners to lunch and asked how to make my stuff. I leased a shop. I bought machines and moved them in. I hired a programmer. I made the parts, marketed them, sold a bunch and kept it going.
