Nah dude, the girls rarely ever bully boys, while boys will bully others for years without end - just for not being like them.

EDIT: yeah, I forgot you can't have a regular conversation over here without double checking every single fact as opposed to casually sharing your life experiences

what is this shit. did you go to a single gender school or some nonsense?

everybody bullies everyone. i went to to a school where some girls would fistfight and beat the shit out of the boys on occasion.

the girls rarely ever bully boys

maybe not straight up to boys' faces, but you can bet your ass some girls will bully or instigate bullying

I rephrased my comment but I disagree. Girls are just as likely to bully others as boys are they just do it differently.

This is well known to be false, and is probably just a reflection of your own experiences.

Boys' bullying tends to be more direct, physical, and in-group/out-group oriented. Eg, the football team calls the fat kid a nerd and shoves him in a locker.

Girls' bullying tends to be indirect, social, and oriented around group heirarchy. Eg, The popular girl who spreads a rumor about another popular girl's promiscuity.

I don't want to diminish the painful experiences many have had with the more masculine form of bullying - but the upside is that if you want it to stop, there is an obvious solution. Conform and perform. If you're a nerd getting bullied by the football team, you can stop getting bullied by becoming a good football player. If you are being bullied in the feminine way, however, you might not even know it. And if you do, there is not a well-defined way to stop it.
