I can't understand that title

GM sucks ass. The American auto industry is a hostage audience with Stockholm syndrome. You will go into $50k debt (+$119.99/month for heated seats) (to dealers, mind you - it is illegal for auto manufacturers to sell straight to consumers, you know?) to save the planet and you'll say "thank you" for the opportunity. That's all you really need to know. Afforable, consumer-friendly EVs will never exist in the US for as long as major political campaigns are decided by the workforce of Ford, GM, and Stellantis.

I mean, some of your complaints are actually pretty valid but you exaggerated so much on pretty much everything it's hard to take you seriously

Details about what you get for that low price range. Edit: last year’s model. New one has a faster top speed and fast charging for the low end model.

Yeah. This one is slower and doesn’t have fast charge on the low spec. Rest of the car is fairly similar though. Same body and interior.

Stop recording your customers gm

Why would they bother? Biden is slapping 100% tariffs on any Chinese EV.

I don’t think there’s any plan to bring this to the US. If they did, GM would manufacture it in the ~~US~~ a NAFTA country (see reply below).

[–] evenglow@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It would be built in Mexico. Just like Equinox and Blazer.

China wants to build EVs in Mexico too, and do the same as GM. but sell them for half of GM's prices.

[–] evenglow@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah but those Chinese EVs made in Mexico sold at a much lower price will not be sold in USA.

People in Mexico already buy Chinese EVs. It'll just be cheaper.

China has no plans to sell in USA while the laws and tariffs change as soon as the US government finds out Volvo is planning to import a Chinese made EV and sell it for $35,000.

That's still only a $15-20k car
