A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.

Fun fact: According to the Indian Constitution, India is a "socialist secular Republic". India had incredibly powerful unions till the 90s. After that, liberalisation happened (which led to significant economic progress). This however, destroyed all socialist institutions that were in place.

It has become so bad, that the wealth inequality is now more than it was under the fucking British Raj.

Are you suggesting we send the Brits back in? They fantasize about the old empire a lot lately...

To be fair, BoJo Muppet hair dreamt of it before. And many others as well.

As long as executives work 84 hours / week as well, sure, why not?

Caveat: they'll need to subject themselves to video monitoring to ensure they stay engaged at their desk, and if an AI detects negative body language their pay will be docked.

The hours they will be required to work will be determined the Sunday before and will be effectively random.

India's total population is 1,428,627,663. Let's say just one billion are actively working.

84hrs/1,000,000,000 roughly equals 0.0003 seconds of effective work time per citizen and per week. That's indeed very generous... so much so in fact that I suspect there's a catch -CEOs aren't usually this benevolent.
