...the Swedish lithium-ion battery maker couldn’t deliver on time on a long-term supply contract for battery cells agreed with BMW in 2020.

Korea’s Samsung SDI will step in to fill the gap created at BMW by the cancellation.

So, before anyone uses this as fodder for the "EV sales are dropping narrative", this is a case of company A not delivering on time, so company B is used instead because BMW can't wait.

Thanks for highlighting this. The headline tells "the truth", but not "the whole truth".
